Description
Load two IDE drives into this dual-bay enclosure and enjoy super fast FireWire 800 (IEEE 1394b) data transfers, perfect for critical hi-res video work. FireWire 800 is more than twice as fast at transferring data than USB 2.0. With hot-swappable removable drive trays, RAID spanning and mirroring options and direct internal connections, the Venus DS3R enclosure provides serious portable data protection. Note: This is the DS3R Gen. 2; it cannot read drives formatted by the Gen. 1 DS3R.
